Module content:
The objective of this module is to introduce students to the social and educational regulation of social inequalities, as well as their social and societal effects on various life situations and overall social cohesion. How can different developments in different areas of the welfare state be explained? Do the social and educational policies of bourgeois and social democratic parties differ systematically? What role do political institutions and social changes play in the social and educational regulation of social inequalities? How is the political scope of social and educational policy changing under the influence of globalization and European integration? The goal is to be able to understand possible answers to the questions above, as well as similar ones, and to be able to lead discussions on them in a reflected and critical manner.
