Learning outcomes:
After successfully completing this module, students will have mastered the principles for systematically designing transmission systems and will be able to classify and characterize different types of transmission systems. They will be able to model real gear assemblies with the help of kinematic diagrams, highlight kinematically relevant dimensions and analyze and document the motion behavior. They will be able to mathematically describe and design motions of working bodies, dimension selected gear types for given kinematic requirements and design them under kinetostatic aspects.
