Workload:
Workload of student for successfully completing the course. Each ECTS credit represents 30 working hours. These are the combined effort of face-to-face time, post-processing the subject of the lecture, exercises and preparation for the exam.

The total workload is distributed on the semester (01.04.-30.09. during the summer term, 01.10.-31.03. during the winter term).
60 class hours (= 45 clock hours) over a 15-week period.
The total student study time is 150 hours (equivalent to 5 ECTS credits).
There are therefore 105 hours available for class preparation and follow-up work and exam preparation.

Learning outcomes:
The goal of this module is to teach the basics of operational project management and team organization.
   
Competencies:
After successfully completing this module, students will have comprehensive knowledge of the concept, development, meaning, scope and methods of project management.
They will be able to analyze customer requirements and develop them within the framework of a well-structured implementation concept.  
   
Methodical competence:
Students will be able to identify and transfer theoretical approaches and methods and use them to solve selected practical project issues, e.g. from the IT sector or other selected sectors.
They will have improved their ability to think in a structured and transdisciplinary manner.
   
Social competence:
Students will have increased their knowledge with regard to interaction, communication, motivation and moderation in teams. They will have strengthened their ability to empathize, communicate, negotiate and argue.
   
Overall goals after successfully completing this module:
As a project manager or manager, students will be able to handle the technical, organizational and human aspects of a complex project correctly. They will be familiar with and understand the project management process and be able to identify risks to project success. They will be able to identify miscommunication at an early stage, prevent it and, if necessary, avert it using structured risk and expectation management. The students will be able to organize teamwork within the project and comprehend the social psychological processes taking place there. Furthermore, they will be able to think, argue and act in a team-oriented manner and handle and resolve conflicts within the framework of professional escalation management at a low escalation level.
